Harts Head Restaurant

The Harts Head is a genuinely good inn with many satisfied returning guests and a reputation with locals in the area as a great place to eat, drink and relax. They have a comfy lounge area and a bar with an open fire, darts, pool, dominoes and Sky Sports. They have a weekly quiz, a full size snooker table, a large beer garden with great views and a children’s play area… dogs and muddy boots are also welcome. If you’re looking for a bed, a meal or a drink at real value for money and delivered with friendly service you’ll find it at the Harts Head. They have seven ensuite bedrooms ideal for using as a base to explore the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.

Our View of the Pub: We both love this pub, it very relaxed, friendly helpful staff, good food, good beer and an extensive range of gins. We visit often when we stop at the Langcliffe Park Caravan site, sometimes every day as it’s only about a mile away.

In December 2016 Cricketers Inns took over the Hart’s Head, immediately installed a new head chef and in March 2017 closed for a refurbishment of the kitchen, bar and restaurant, not sure what the pub was like before but it’s pretty impressive now. We could quite easily visit every day like some of the locals do and spend all day there, but we need to get the walking in so not to pile on to many pounds.

They also have a very nice loyalty card in operation, which they stamp when you buy a drink or a meal, collect 10 drinks stamps and get a free drink, collect 5 meal stamps and get a free main meal, works out very nice.
